As a lawyer who does a lot of police misconduct cases for victims of police abuse, I can tell you that the police will do anything - ANYTHING - to cover up police misconduct and protect the most violent cops.

I see you didn't included MANDATORY spending, which includes Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc, which cost much more than military spending. -
1. Expiration dates are on everything to legally cover a company's liability. While yes most of them are pointless if someone in court said X product made me sick and it was 10 years past expiration the company will have a way to show it was not their fault.
2. You showed the "Discretionary Spending Budget" not the full budget. If you look at every tax dollar that is spent you would find out that defense is only 16% of the budget, 24% is social security and 25% is Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and marketplace subsidies (aka Obamacare).
You shouldn't misinform people like this. Do better research. -
