Since the beginning of mankind, during the time of the hunter-gatherers, agriculture is what has kept the human race going. And now, as the world struggles to feed a rapidly growing global population of 7 billion people, it is the agri-sector that is under the spotlight as the saving grace. Joining CNBC Africa is Zhann Meyer, Africa Head for Agricultural Commodity Finance at Nedbank Corporate and Investment Bank and Melle Leenstra, First Secretary of Food Security and Economic Development at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands.
