vue - Agricultural History with ridge trail code-Grizzly Relic & Treasure
This particular section of the cache site trail is laid with some great agricultural history cast iron. Some pieces are easy to recognize and others I can only guess on. They seem to be chosen to fulfill specific functions that their forms suggest buried on lay lines, trails and interest areas. Now from the finds you would think that this was done in the 30's maybe 40's, but don't let that fool you. Caching something away for safe keeping involves blending in with your environment and better yet, making it appear ancient. There are so many ways to hunt a cache site. I like to treat it as a crime scene and dissect portions of the trail and site to collect evidence and hopefully find the smoking gun or a misstep by those caching the site. I find I am more interested in who cached this site, then what is cached here. There are a number of clues telling me that the cache here on this site has been retrieved already. Yet some small caches have been found. For instance there is a giant duck here, but the duck head is severed telling me that what was once here is now probably recovered and on state lands protecting the ill gotten gains with the use of our tax dollars for thieves and socialist political treasonous agenda's. The really interesting thing about the area that I live in is that it is really the crossroads of this nation as it carved out its destiny with so much opposition that is still trying to take her down today.

The hook is could be a home made bale hook?? It would have had a wooden handle...

The hook kinda looks like home made a bale hook, but they forgot to make the handle...

I found the Cant Hooks but still have not found one that matches this item. Hopefully that means it is as old as the hills! LOL! This is a great lead though because of the history here. Now to just nail it down.

LOL! It depends! Supposedly it would be right below you between the front and back "boxes". But when you have to dig 5-6 feet down it is like horse shoes and hand grenades, you just have to get close!

I can see what you mean by old "can" roller. Some of those other pieces look like a bit of a match for log rolling as well. That would be an amazing find since Timber came before the pioneers up here. Now to find a photo of the pieces documented. Thanks for the great eye Can Digger!
