vue - Back Yard Farming
It's not hard to grow all your family needs in your own backyard. Even a few chickens and rabbits are allowed in most places if well taken care of. Organic is better for you then commercial product and you just can not beat the freshness.

I dream of having a homestead. I'm glad I'm not the only one and someone is actually doing it. I will look into it

The cool thing is that this is some conservatives can no longer laugh at and is inherent to the somewhat self-reliance they speak of. Funny thing is that this is the future as our current system is NOT sustainable.. Too bad the social norm take a long time to change. AWESOME!!!

I lost it at bio diesel broom station (I don't know the correct spelling) :''D They are awesome

Bravo! If everything really goes to pot you and yours will be some of the survivors. We are so incredibly dependent on technology and would have hard time trying to live (literally) without it in an urban setting.. You are one of the smart ones. I am trying to educate people to grow their own or buy organic and live toxin free. Orrene Smith www.eatingandgrowingorganic.com

It always make me smil to see particularly in us news talking about backyard garden like a new incredible thing. At the opposite, where i live in belgium and i know there is many other places too, it is actualy common to have a back yard garden or to have chickens or having bees, not every body far from that but it isn't such a big thng ether. Also the guy say that the alectricity bill is only 12 dollar a month, but you have to not forget the bill for the solar panel, ours did cost us 30000 euros for 40 of them so it isn't actualy 12 dollars a month.

A lot of work but it would be so satisfying. Good for this family for actually living quite sustainably. It's very inspiring and motivating.

Yea to bad you can't live off the grid here in Florida ,state won't let you along with FPL.next thing is you'll have to register your garden. I have 1 acre and I'm not allowed to have chickens. I own my house no home owners association. I still have my mini farm I just keep a shotgun close by. Nice video

where can we get the clay pots?

I have always wanted to try this myself. My son and I have just purchased a home on 5 acres of land in Jacksonville, FL. It has a well for drinking water and a septic system. We plan to grow our own food on 3 acres. You are doing a great job!

we are selling our three bedroom ranch just at the edge of the county to buy land and build a cob home off the grid. I was so excited when you mentioned "homestead village. I was just talking to my husband about starting one on the land we will be buying.
