So... Do they keep Honey in the brood box? I'm struggling to see the difference between the brood box and the honey super. Any help is appreciated. I'm not a beekeeper at this time, but am doing heavy research to see if this is right for me, and want to absorb as much info as I can.

Next thing you guys should make or configure with the current model you guys have is making it so it's possible to get honeycomb

I am preparing to order hives for this spring, a friend thought I should take a look at the flow hives. At first I thought some how this is cheating, somehow not natural.....boy was I wrong. I am always concerned about stepping on or smashing the bees. I know to some degree it is going to happen. This method of beekeeping cuts down on the loss of bees and also is highly efficient. What a great improvement on a centuries old practice.
1) Is it possible to make a special arrangement with you to purchase a complete flow bee hive with bees already installed? I prefer the Italian Queen Bee.
2) Is there any discount for a large order of flow bee hives? Thank you
3) How is the pollen, populous and wax recovered? Is it all recovered in the same way as you would from a Langstrom box?
I wish to set up to grow into a commercial operation. I look forward to your response. -
I live in southeast Alaska where we have very mild winters, with mostly rain and barely any snow. Should I use one brood or two?

Hiyas! on our family farm we had a beekeeper guy who used to come and look after some hives he had left on our property as we grew strawberrries. We havent seen him in years and i am now curious about having a look and perhaps looking after them myself. If succesful im am very interested in getting a couple of those flow hives, but till then any hints tips advice and help on what i should or shouldnt do to inspect these old hives and see whats what with them. they are a way away from the house so i havent looked to see if there are live bees yet

In the video you say, Click here, but there's no link :(

Thank you for the great video's. I live in central Canada, our winters get to -40 C. Many beekeepers keep their bees outside for the winter with a protective cover. Can the flow hive stay in the hives during the winter.
-
are those hives behind you empty? I don't see any bees coming or going.
-
how long does it take a typical hive to build their brood cells from scratch?
-
I know of several people who choose not to use the queen excluder with the flow hive because the queen won't lay her brood in cells that big. What can you say about that ?

Me parece un sistema novedoso, practico y no invasivo, vivo en Colombia, tenemos colmenas en el altiplano sobre los 2.600 mtros sobre el nivel del mar; me gustaría adquirir ese sistema, como hago para comprarlo?
