It is an alluminium sheet I found lying waste in my junk. Bent it as is to form a tray which become to 3' x 3 ' and 1' in depth. made four holes for drainage. I thought to plant gourds would be appropriate since their roots grow horizontally. Further I have planted amaranthus also in the same tray so that the plant dencity in the tray will keep more cool condition until these tender plants take off for higher growth. That is all. Later plucked the amaranthus when they are about 8 inches height since they are covering these gourd plants. I used redsoil+vermicompost+cocopeat in approximately 2:1:1 ratio upto a depth of 9 to 10 inches.
