'Black Pepper: Pests & Diseases ' was developed as a part of the consultancy project under FAO's TCP/RAS/3105 programme "Smallholder Livelihood Enhancement and Income Generation via Improvement of Pepper Production, Processing, Value-added and Marketing Systems and Enterprise Diversification". It is an electronic compilation that provides authentic information about various pests and diseases of black pepper and their management. The DVD can be easily browsed and navigation is simple and user-friendly. Several pictures on symptoms are incorporated along with simple description for easy understanding and identification of various biotic stresses to black pepper in various pepper growing countries. The addition of a video presentation and a number of color photographs enhances the use of this electronic compendium for disease diagnosis. Finally, additional links to other useful sites are also provided, including a Glossary.
