In a teaching career that spanned six decades, Agricultural Economics Professor Bob Taylor was truly an institution at Purdue University. Taylor taught his first class at Purdue in 1962. When he retired at the end of the spring semester, Taylor had received outstanding teaching awards from the university (1980), the College of Agriculture (1970, 1976) and the Purdue student body (1970). He was named to the Book of Great Teachers in 1999, and touched the lives of some 40,000 students.
