Vertical column method is a novel technique for large scale production of quality planting materials in black pepper. The method ensures the production of top shoots, lateral shoots and normal cuttings within a very short period. This technique is developed at ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode, Kerala.

Normally cool climate and humidity required for pepper cultivation. Would it be possible for us to cultivate in dry areas especially in poly house?

There are several advanced technology to grow Piper Nigum (black pepper).But in most market we can get only lateral shoots. Is it possible to graft or grow runners and top shoots from lateral shoots?Please advise. Thanks in Advance!

Kindly explaine that why the pepper wine grows and hang from the trees supporting them with out bearing fruits.

I am really excited to learn about this method of pepper cultivation. Surely would like to try out some when I come down to Kerala from Delhi. I guess I can cultivate enough for my domestic use.
