The lack of knowledge and organizations working within environmental issues make the district vulnerable to plenty of effects -- which lead to diverse climate change implications manifesting itself locally either by way of drought or flooding and to a large extent hot day time temperature which scotch young plants which are supposed to be future forests. The project goal is to reduce soil degradation and enhance sustainable management of natural resources through conservation farming and agro-forestry in Nyimba district in the Eastern province of Zambia. The project succeeded in contributing to forestation of trees through effective and sustainable use of land and water; cultivating a sustainable human and plant relationship that reciprocates the benefits of co- existence; promoting environmental friendly income generating activities.
