vue - Container Grown Potatoes
I grew Kennebec potatoes in 5-gallon global buckets & large plastic bags this summer. Yield was 1.5 to 2 lbs per container. I wanted to use containers I already had around the house because buying potatato boxes are expensive & not always successful at producing potatoes. Next summer I'll try an early-season potato since our growing season is only about 90 days. I grew Kennebec this year, a mid-season potato, because it was all that was left at the store.

To "Quantum Chang" thanks for the excellent comment. I didn't know sweet potato leaves are edible & so nutritious to boot! They are supposed to taste sweeter than spinach or chard because of less oxalic acid in the leaves.

That was very useful. Thanks for all the work in creating this video. I liked the final touch of showing us what you cooked with them. Very full-circle

Did you fertilize the potatoes with anything? and it looks like 1 potato per container, right?

To vastly improve the yield of your harvest not to mention the size of the potatoes next time mix up just saw dust and sand 75 % sawdust 25 % sand and throw in about half a cup of all purpose fertilizer to the initial layer mix well plant spuds and keep adding the sand sawdust mixture as they grow.
All in all your harvest was good and i'm sure very tasty. -
Deer, rabbit? They're not a problem with your food supply. They are part of the solution. Good hunting. Nah, just kidding. Thanks for the video. Nice work.

The plastic bags did have holes in them?
