On Day 2 of Michigan and Indiana Farm Bureau's 11-day international agricultural study tour to Germany, Farm Bureau members visited Lubars, a small agricultural village located just north of Berlin. Home to more than 350 horses, Lubars is popular with Berlin residents because of its close proximity to the city. Horse owners travel by public bus transportation to ride and care for their horses. A delegation of 23 farmers and agricultural leaders are overseas from Aug. 31-Sept. 11 on an Agricultural Leadership Exchange to learn about north-central Europe's agricultural innovation and policies regarding trade, biotechnology, renewable energy, animal welfare, dairy production and pricing standards, and environmental issues.
