Dome ports can get some amazing shots! This is how to build one for your GoPro for much less than you can purchase one for. ALWAYS TEST YOUR DOME WITHOUT THE CAMERA BEFORE USING IT!!!! Parts List: - Clear acrylic dome. These are purchased here: http://www.eztopsworldwide.com/cameradomes.htm . For a GoPro, I don't see a need to go any larger than a 7" dome. A smaller dome would be easier to use and transport. I believe these might be made to order so if you want to build a dome port, order one early because they take a couple weeks to get. Buy the 1/4 thick clear dome, maximum height (half of the diameter), and specify the half inch wide flange. - Clear acrylic or Lexan sheet in the .080" to .093" thickness range. I bought mine from Lowes hardware store for around $3-$5 for a 8x10" sheet. - 10-24x3/4" stainless machine screws, washers, and lock nuts. - GoPro 3 waterproof housing or GoPro dive housing. These are the housings that have the 8 exposed screws on the front of the camera bezel. - Special screwdriver to remove the bezel screws on the waterproof enclosure. This MIGHT be a torx T5 but I am not sure. These can be purchased from places like Amazon or ebay or I believe that GoPro includes one in their replacement lens kit. - Black silicone sealant. I normally buy this at auto parts stores. - FLAT black spray paint. It must be flat. Gloss, semi-gloss, etc. will not work. - Material to build your gasket out of. I used a closed cell foam sheet that I bought on amazon but you could probably use rubber also. My gasket is 1/16" thick but I would recommend 1/8 or 1/4. Do not use open cell foam. It is not waterproof. LET'S CONNECT! God's Country's Accounts: - http://gplus.to/GodsCountry - http://www.facebook.com/godscountrychannel - http://twitter.com/In_Gods_Country
