vue - Ellen Gustafson: Obesity + hunger = 1 global food issue
http://www.ted.com Co-creator of the philanthropic FEED bags, Ellen Gustafson says hunger and obesity are two sides of the same coin. At TEDxEast, she launches The 30 Project -- a way to change how we farm and eat in the next 30 years, and solve the global food inequalities behind both epidemics. TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Featured speakers have included Al Gore on climate change, Philippe Starck on design, Jill Bolte Taylor on observing her own stroke, Nicholas Negroponte on One Laptop per Child, Jane Goodall on chimpanzees, Bill Gates on malaria and mosquitoes, Pattie Maes on the "Sixth Sense" wearable tech, and "Lost" producer JJ Abrams on the allure of mystery. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, development and the arts. 0.5 of speed is too much also...
-
Donald Trump is president now.

Awesome, it is great to see other young people with a passion for change for the next generations! I am on the same wavelength and working on solutions too. Thanks for an inspiring message and leadership platform!
-
she needs to slow down
-
As Ellen demonstrates in her TED Talk, there is such a thing as being over-prepared
-
it's called the pause button
-
she can't slow down because Ted talk program only gave her 10 minutes to do her presentation
-
let me guess you are obese and take offense to her speech?
-
I want to know who made all those bags.... hungry kids?
-
She's so stupid it's not even funny lol. Love hat energy though
-
Why is everyone complaining that she's talking too fast? I think this is a fantastic speed. Try sitting through one of my biochemistry lectures!
-
She managed to fit a one hour lesson in under ten minutes - faster than a supercar!!!!!!!!!
-
terrible speaker
-
20 min lesson in under 10 minutes...cool. maybe she can double her speed next time and just lose everybody.
-
@Amarynthine The U.S. for instance.
-
I'm sorry, but this girl has obviously been involved with the UN too long. Ten minutes of lecture that tells us nothing new, and ends with a bullet-point list if doubespeak action items and a new non-profit program? Ugh.
-
@eXcommunicate1979 where?
-
@Amarynthine I think modern minds are much too slow. Most people used to talk this quickly back in the 1930s.
-
If she doesn't bring new food on the plate, she certainly raised awareness. I agree with the whole healthier food being cheaper than the junk food. But MY GOD she needs to SLOW DOWN. Pause, BREATHE!

@xxgigphasexx You started this conversation by attacking free market principles, then continued to infer about a dozen times that critics of TVP aren't scientifically literate.. Good luck with your attitude.
