Farming, also called agriculture or husbandry is the cultivation of animals and plants for food and other products used to sustain life. Agriculture in Kenya continues to dominate Kenya's economy and is also the largest contributor to Kenya's gross domestic product. Sophia Mumbi started farming approximately three years ago, and although she began farming as a hobby, it eventually became her career. Her two acres of land located in Thika houses poultry, dairy cows and pigs among others.
