vue - Farmers should go "green"
Farming accounts for 70 percent of water used in the world today, depleting supplies and polluting lakes and rivers. Kevin Parris, agriculture expert at the OECD, says climate change and water scarcity will mean farmers have be more efficient - use less water to produce the same amount of food at the same price. Well done Kevin. Firstly you look very good on camera, and secondly; your personality comes through. This is no mean feat. I've seen 'talent' looking less like giving information and more like they're about to get a blindfold and a last cigarette. You come across very well. Congratulations! Perhaps you can suggests regular OECD podcasts explaining various economic and social research findings. These days everyone is looking for just such things. Gerard

If water's retail price is reasonably increased over time, it's value will be better respected, will be put to better/efficient use, hopefully resulting in higher yields. A sound idea to apply this in 1st world agriculture. Maybe the extra profits should be captured for 3rd world projects to mitigate desertification, renewable energy, de-salination, etc. Nice to see you after all this time Kev, I hope you get the other 14 mins. owed you. Best Wishes, Paul in Morgan Hill.
