Name of the project is ‘’Urea Fertilizer Spreading Machine”. Final year Mechanical Engineering students can take this as their major design project. The project is very simple as well as unique. Simply trolley type walk behind mechanism is used for spreading urea fertilizers in the granular form. The horizontal rotation of axial is translated into vertical rotation of spreader disk by means of Bevel Gears. Granular urea flow down from the hopper on the rotating disk. And due to the centrifugal force it gets sprayed in an arc. No use of any batteries. It can also couple with tractors.
