the soil is a mixture of clay and composted horse manure. right now it's summer so it's pretty hot and humid. i'm beginning to think that is may just be a bad batch of seeds because i tried planting some from 2 different packets from the same lot and none of them germinated. the seeds are from burpees and the variety is called chameleon.

easy to grow? i can't even get mine to germinate! LOL even my melons and hot peppers were easier to germinate. any tips?

How do you plant the seed? It's a long seed, so do I stab it in the dirt long ways, or do I lay it flat?
