Future Agriculture Leaders of India is a major new initiative of Action Platform to Create Shared Value in Agribusiness and is supported by four leading agribusinesses.Four leading agribusiness are UPL, Jain irrigation, Godrej Agrovet and Mahindra FALI is a revolutionary program focused on modern agriculture practices and agribusiness. The teaching method is based on the three-part approach used by Future Farmers of America – contextual inquiry based learning, experiential learning, and personal growth and leadership. Each session includes an interactive lesson, an in-class activity, a practical, and often a field visit. Each school has a learning lab that includes space for a shade net house, outdoor plots, and agriculture equipment, to facilitate learning. Students are exposed to five major themes: agronomy and horticulture, animal science, farm mechanization, food science and agroenterprise and business.
