I pretty much think Oni is even on match with Evil Ryu and Sagat. -
He probably has a better chance with E Ryu than Zangief against Daigo but I wouldn't call it much of an upgrade.

Don't be tempted to just pick E.Ryu when you come across Daigo or another E.Ryu player, SEyez. Even though it's a bad matchup for Zangief, I guarantee you'll gain much more satisfaction out of it when you finally managed to beat Daigo-sama using your main character.
