There are several things to try
select the top type - there are many available.
grow them in the right conditions - some such as oyster muchrooms like cool humid areas and may be put outside (I discovered these and why they work from Gregs Mushroom Grower site ) -
love this video except it doesnt tell us what kind of wood chips to use. cedar and pine were the only ones we found and those are the ones we arent supposed to use. so can you please post something about what is best to use thanks

Using hydrogen peroxide like this is ridiculous. For starters, it's too dilute to sterilize anything. This is made obvious by the fact that the straw is never rinsed out, and he grows mushrooms in it! It's a mild pasteurization process, and that's all. By not rinsing the straw afterwards, it's only going to impede growth. No wonder this process takes 6 months and not 6 weeks.

Hi Paul thanks for all the info very helpful

i think u forgot to show that u need to put the mushroom seedling from the refrigerator into that plastic bag.
-
curious, once u harvested, will they propagate further?
-
Can I do that with morels??

Keep out the music, then I could understand much better what you are talking about.

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO!!

This is a way too complicated process and it takes way too long. You can have harvest ready mushrooms in less than 2 months by using the method in my video "Grow Oyster Mushrooms at home " Check it out and let me know what you think.

Nine jars of water to one jar of peroxide is 9:1, not 10:1.

I tried this...make sure your oyster mushroom from the super market hasn't been contaminated by those...worm like insects that live in most oyster mushrooms...seriously..mine turned into a bag of maggot looking things

I observed that applying this method are quite manageable enough. One thing that I love on this idea is to have an easy access of mushroom in your home. Glad to hear this very easy trick and economical way of growing mushroom.

You rock!

Uh,to the guy who made the video and everybody else, the refrigerator part is misinformation. you use the fridge to keep the mushrooms from growing fast if you don't have room for them all at once where you grow them, without the refrigeration the whole process will take a third or less of the time he is saying.

I'm sorry but you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I'm really glad that you're enjoying growing mushrooms and are trying to spread the word but please do some more research first. Peace

H2O2 Doesn't digest wood, it simply stops bacteria and undesired moulds from growing until the mycelium is established enough to release enzymes to break down the H2O2

This is the worst mushroom growing tutorial ever. Vegetative temperatures are always higher than fruiting temps. DONT put it in the fridge. The ONLY thing that's good about it is that risk of contamination is dramatically lowered. But it will take forever to grow. And your bag doesn't look healthy. Something tells me that bag died haha!
