can I get work in this farm

Most Americans think this type of labor is beneath them and the people who are willing to do this job for pennies on a dollar are being kicked out because we think they are stealing our jobs. Sad state of affair when fruits and veg are going un picked out in the field thanks to idiots like Obama and his pals.

I want to grow some watermelons here in Arkansas and have loved them since childhood when my great uncle and grandfather grew them decades ago. The weather here is great for growing them and I want to go back to farming again. After a military and state career I feel that it is time to enjoy myself and what I love doing.

Even with the curlykews brown, each of the three closest to the melon, still not enough maturity. The stem has to have some drying-browning, and yellowing on the underside of the fruit. This is my first main year growing watermelons, and it seems they are best-ripe with a brown stem, in the good mature sense with good flesh color, good flesh texture, and not tasting under-ripe or with an unripe texture, and still plenty juicy, not mealy. I'm in San Diego, about 1/4 mile from the ocean, about 2 blocks.

I've planted some watermelon this year.....They seem to grow fast. However, they are getting yellow leaves next to the ground (where I water them). Is this bad, and how can I stop it?
-
At the end the farmer says he's glad he can provide a good financial living to his family and that he cares about the product he is pushing out. Not once did he mention his gratitude for his obviously illegal and/or undocumented farm workers.

Nope , I'm on a crew that picks LOUISIANA melons called sugertown watermelons. They've went all around the globe even to Italy. We pick about 10,000 a day.
