do these plants need to be held up in a post in order for it to bare fruits? my moms plant has no post and has been growing for 7 yrs now and never seen one single fruits. what should i do? thanks!

how many days before we get to the fruit part after the white flower blooms. Is it safe to assume that all the pics in this slide were taking everyday religiously? i'm not a hater or anything. My mom has one and the flower just bloomed. like a few hours ago.. :) hope you can help.

Hi, Well the first pix taken was on the 3/12/2012 and the last pix taken was on the 3/2/2013 I guess that 2 months, but this one was the every first fruit of the season, but in January it was hot here so the fruit ripe faster, I had some lots I pick it only after 5 weeks, I still have one left and it been there 5 months now. it st best to grow from cutting

Thanks for showing this plant. I love the look of it. Since they are cactus I assume that they will grow great in the tropics. Or am I wrong?
