Last week I just put the seeds to germinate, and I wonder can I use coffee ground for pitaya ?? or even tea bags ? or banana peels ? or crushed snail shell..as fertilizer ??
I'm excited that I will have pitaya..
Also do you know where I can find verry cheap seeds pitaya with red pulp ?? Because I also want some with the red pulp..
When exactly bear fruit ?? -
how do you pollinate? is there two types?

Have you had one that rooted through the bottom of the pot into the ground? I have one that did and I want to cut the dragon fruit plant back then move it. Unfortunately the roots have gone through the bottom of the pot deep into the ground. Will it stress the plant too much if I dig it up in October and move it? It has grown up the side of the house. I live in a tropical area of Florida. Thanks.

Awesome video ! Can you tell me how deep do the roots go, or do they spread a lot ? I don't live in a tropical area so I have to bring it in during winter, is a container like the one in your video enough for a mature plant ? all the best

Thanks for sharing. I know it's been asked somewhere here where in the country do you live at but you didn't answer and I'm interested to know too because I just planted my cuttings today just in small temporary pots for now but I need to plan where to plant it for good whether outside or if I need to have a green house. I live in San Antonio, Tx.

I just started growing mine from cuttings, can't wait until they start to grow fruits =3 wished I started sooner, 2 years is a long time to wait!

Could you please share with us which fertilizer(NPK) you're using, how much, and when you're applying to the tree.

I got 3 or 4 cutting to one of the clip above, don't worry one of my one only had 1 fruit on it first year, but in second year, it was like wowowowowowo

water it every day after planting, in winter water once a week, top up with cow compost after winter, when it start to have new growth keep the healthy one and prune the smallest one. the plant will grow bigger in size and longer.

there really is no secrets, using 100m in diameter pole step 1: make a 600 x 600 square with a plank across inside, step 2: place the square on top of a 1800H pole then place in to ground at 300 deep, step 3: have some cement at the bottom after it dry field in garden mix and cow compost step 4: plant in the plant cut have the flat side to the pole and tie it together. you need to tie new growth to the pole, when the plant reach to the top, it will grow and start to hang over

Love your dragon fruit. Can you please share your secrets? Fertilizers? I noticed you have a pole for its to climb up. What's holding up the vines like that to spread down? Thank you.
