vue - Growing Ginger in a Container.
Ginger is an awesome spice that is packed with nutrients and has been used for many centuries now due to it's great medicinal health benefits. They are very simple to grow. Here's a ginger root that I started about 2 and a half months ago. If you decided to grow them during winter, keep them indoors if the temperature drops below 55 degrees F. But I've had mine exposed lower than 50 degrees F. in a short period here in South Florida; just keep them protected from heavy winds. You wear gloves!! Smart! Your hands should remain beautiful for a long time to come!! Wonderful! You are the only person I have ever seen on garden-subject YouTube videos wearing gloves!! The more you wear them when you are gardening - so much the better!!

Today only I have planted ginger, garlic and turmeric in my kitchen garden. It is winter time in North India, which will be followed by severe summer by May and June. I have planted these in shady area. What precaution should I take to save these plants ( in case they grow at all) from summer heat. I have also planted onion seeds last monthand tiny plants have started coming up. any precautions for them too?
