There are a few tips to try
pick the top variety - there are lots available.
grow them in the right environment - some such as oyster muchrooms like cool humid conditions and can be placed outside (I learned these and why they work from Gregs Mushroom Grower website ) -
did it work? I do believe cardboard needs to be damp but not dripping wet.

Yet another that has no second part! Take 'em down! Looks like cardboard doesn't do the trick.
