The seedlings need to be treated with a fungicide. They should be treated as soon as they are unpacked, even if they are not showing any signs of rot. Also, the propagator lid is making them too humid and wet. They'd be better with the lid off to get air movement. Orchids need air movement and hate stale air. Avoid the temptation to water them too much. They're better off a little dry rather than too wet when getting them going. Some of those seedlings are far too small to be shipped so far.

Also, unless you're an advanced orchid grower, it's best to stay away from seedlings like this. Invest in mature or near blooming sized orchids. It will save you a lot of heartache and money in the long run. Also, these are not rate, hard to find species and there is no reason you should have to be importing these. Both England and austrailia (can't tell where you're from) have a lot of good, reputable sellers who would not send you diseased plants. It's possible they rotted in transit, but I agree with a lot of the comments on here- plants are not health and seller should refund or replace these plants. Good luck!

That transparent, watery rot on your seedlings looks like a bacterial infection, but could be fungal. These should be potted separately to prevent spread to the others. Rhynchostylis coelestis (rink-oh-stylus see-lest-us). Cut off all diseased areas back into healthy tissue. Sterilize blade between cuts (and especially between plants). Dip leaves in rubbing alcohol. Dry. Spray with systemic fungicide like alliette if the infection persists. I highly recommend the aos orchid pests and diseases book. These seedlings don't look good and you have a lot of work to do. Another good place with info about diseases is st. Augustine orchid society website.

RealVinceSamios you should check out www.Larrysorchids&tropicals they have beautiful healthy plants. I have been getting very nice ones and they are seedlings, blooming size plants. Check it out and don't accept unhealthy plants from Malaysia. Just saying...

I bought some off ebay too and they were so hard to look after. I managed to keep one for ages with no roots and it started to get a new one and then got mites and died. sad times! maybe ill wait until I get a greenhouse next time!

A majority of the time, the spotting on the leaves is a bad sign. It usually signifies disease or mold. I highly suggest sending them back and demanding a refund. The tough part about shipping orchids in between countries is you can't necessarily get them in a short period of time. Most of the time, they will be quarantined by your customs to make sure they don't carry disease or anything of that sort.
As far as the humidity chamber goes, you want to try not to keep it at 100% humidity. Only a few orchid varieties do good with 100% humidity like the Cattleya. Also, the stagnant air in the chamber could actually make the disease worse. You want to have some type of air flow. Now you don't necessarily need a fan blowing right on them (as a matter of fact that is bad for them), but you want to have a nice soft movement of air so there is not too much moisture depositing on the orchids. This will cause rot and disease of you remove the air movement factor. I would also like to recommend that you pot some of those in a medium to coarse bark mixture because the orchids need to expand their roots, and seeing as they are not strong at the moment, you will want to allow some space for them to shoot roots out. -
Olala! you shouldn't accept to receive so bad quality plants! it is unacceptable.I dunno if you will save many plants of this packet, but I presume not all of them. You should search for a more serious seller. In Malaysia,it is not so easy to find,as several of them are swindlers. These plants are too small to travel.I ve test several sellers, and I think I know where these plants come from. They sell plants so small that I wouldn't have deflasked them so early.Today , it is much better to buy from Thailand. The travel is much shorter ,and the plants quality is much better for sometimes lower prices.I hope that you didn't pay them an expensive price.
