Out of all the videos I have watched concerning growing taters in buckets I like yours' the best. Just two questions please: do you give them any kind of food during the growing process, and do you drill holes in the bottom of the bucket?

Good video, especially for the beginner. Thank you. In the UK you can buy seed potatoes, costing about a £1 for bag of about 8 potatoes, already chitted (sprouted) you don't even need buckets, a cloth sag or old shopping bag will do too. I put some rocks or broken pottery in the bottom for drainage, covered with an old hanging basket liner. you can buy a pack of these liners cheap too. Water, water, water, is the secret to growing in pots though. collect your rainwater and water twice a day, once in the morning and again in the evening.

Looks interesting. Unfortunately I am deaf and I need subtitles added on so I can learn something from you.

I saw this video last year & saved it, but this is my first time trying to grow potatoes on my porch. I can't believe how fast they are growing already after only 3 wks! How do I know when they are ready for harvest? Oh, and everyone has senior moments even if they are not seniors : )
