Hi, I have two questions.
1. I have a walnut tree and its about 10 years old now, how long does it take before fruiting? Every year it just grows leave and gets taller.
2. Do all trees have to be grafted, if so would it be too late to graft onto mine? -
Do you know that walnuts before consume have to be soaked in water for a period to make them digestible? There's more info related to this in a book: 'The Luciferian Doctrine' / 554 pages.

I am a grandson of an Iranian (Persian) walnut farmer. My grandfather used to plant 10-15 walnuts nuts (in the hard shell, but not the soft shell) in the same spot in a spiral formation. It is best to choose nuts from different trees. This will take care of the cross pollination need. Why planting 10-15 nuts together? First, maybe up to half of the nuts will never germinate. Whatever germinates, becomes one strong tree. This tree will not get as tall of a typical 40-60' tree, making harvesting easy. It also produce much more nuts than if you plant a single nut.

Vary informative but I must say that organic is a joke especially organic milk with the FDA standards we have today herbicide s are a non issue but I can see where people may have some miss conceived worries about insecticides

Cutting dead branches can happen any time of the year, it's easiest to see them when the tree is leafed out. As for planting walnut trees, the easiest way is to dig up the trees when they are dormant in the winter and plant them then. Good luck!
