Greenhouse Sensation chairman, John Molyneux, had a record breaking root ginger harvest of 3.81Kg last month. This beat his previous best of 2.96Kg and the plant had grown to well over 6ft tall in our Rain and Drain planter. As John was growing the ginger in an unheated polytunnel and was aiming for a huge yield, he used Vitopod layers around the plant to create a warm environment.
