vue - How to Cultivate Shiitake Mushrooms Outdoors on Logs (long version, with Blooper)
Learn more about Organic Mushroom Farming: http://amzn.to/28QKjEm Organic mushroom cultivation: growing Shiitake Mushrooms outdoors on cut logs, step by step. This is the long version, complete with verbal introduction. I will also edit it into shorter segments highlighting each step (maybe individually, or a couple at a time if they are too short for stand-alone clips). Be sure and watch all the way to the end of this one for a nice blooper (hint: dogs). ;-) Links: http://www.mushroommountain.com https://www.facebook.com/MushroomMountainFarm [Background Music by Dave Tough / Pond5.com]

You are right in line with one of my projects this year. Tradd Cotter's website has received much traffic from the Daddykirbs Farm lately! Nice work :)

Spores are the reproductive parts of mushrooms (2n). the spores will form hyphae in the holes of your wood and the hyphae will form mycelieum and mycelieum will form the mature mushroom

Hope this experiment will be fruitful. :o)
I also understand that the location of the logs is important. No direct sun, not too dry, that kind of stuff.
Cheers ! -
