Hi it helps if you water die soil in the pot before you plant the seed and then you can water the seed again after you have planted the seed.

Just read 'The Botany of Desire' by Michael Pollan. He gives an excellent history of Apples and where all the various types of Apples came from. According to Pollen (love the double entente) you never know what kind of apple you will get. Apple seeds do not grow a tree like the one the seeds came from. Every seed produces a new and distinct tree. Usually something like a crab apple. All the apple trees we grow are grafts from one original version of that tree. For example there was ever only ONE Red Delicious tree discovered growing among many other cider type trees in an orchard. Every other Red Delicious is a graft from that tree or more likely from trees grafted with branches from a graft from that first and only RD tree.

I've planted lemon seeds and they are doing well. I have then in a window seal facing south. they are a month old. I've started apple seeds and plan on planting them soon. it's to cold where I live to have them outside now. it's been in the teens overnight here. my question is I've started in small containers when should i transplant them to larger ones. I plan on growing all my plants indoors. it's more for enjoyment than fruit. 😉

Must it be air tight? > is that the reason why you use a seal container? And how long does it take for roots to pop out

Pls mention in video after how many days the process u checkin ,,,nice video

it's best to pick up young seedlings by a leaf rather than the stem if you were to squeeze a little too much trying to free the roots from the tissue it is not as bad for your plant if a leaf gets damaged but if the stem is damaged it will die

but they're not growing up in the tropical country like mine I guess they just love growing up in a cold places.

I'm trying to grow a couple of Apple trees here in Louisiana. we've picked our favorite Apple, which is the large honey crisp ones. I've seen the seed germination process a couple of different ways. one was to peel the skin off of the seeds before you place them in the lid and put them in a dark place for three days. how many days does it take for your method in the window seal sunlight?

Rather than using all that paper towel (that is bleached), you could use the wheat gel lining from a 7th Generation Diaper (I would not use other brands, since you don't know what is in them). You do it the same way, but use a square cut from the diaper, which hold a ton of water, so you don't have to worry about it drying out, and the surface stays drier (but still damp) so it won't get moldy. Just a thought....
