A small setup to grow Coriander(Kotimbir) in Coco peat (Coir).Coco peat is an medium used in hydroponics.Coco Peat is readily and cheaply available everywhere in India specially in the Southern Part. To grow in coco peat steps : 1. soak the coco peat in water. 2.Remove excess of Water from the coco peat,For planting any trays or pots can be used.TRays are suggested for growing leafy veggies like coriander,basil's,Chawli,Methi etc. 3.Water should be mixed with nutrient mix as coco peat doesnot have any nutrients.It might contain some traces of salts and minerals. 4.If you dont have a nutrient mix You could use the kitchen waste water.(wwithout Soap ) water which can be collected by soaking plates and used utensils.This water will be somewhat rich in nutrient than normal water. 5.If Vermicompost is available nearby you could mix it with coco peat. 6.Do not water for 5-6 Days as coco peat has a very good capacity of retaining water. 7.Water only if there is need of water. 8.Harvest whenever you need at whatever size. 9. GO GROW EXPERIMENT AND RELISH :P. Growing coriander in soil. 1. Normal planting plant in rows with 4-5cm distance between the rows. 2.Soil can be mixed with vermicompost for a faster and healthier growth. 3.Normal watering process. 4. 4 Weeks after plantation you are ready with the harvest .
