vue - How To Grow Dragon Fruit (Pitaya) From Seeds
Bought a few Dragon Fruits from an Asian Supermarket nearby and got some seeds out. I planted the seeds and a few days later there were a bunch of tiny sprouts. The method is very simple and I covered this in the video. Please like, comment, share and subscribe! My Indoor Setup: https://plus.google.com/118382364204627409312/posts/5Cr9CWGsoDG

I always eat Dragon Fruit, especially use them for smoothies :D I'm from the Philippines but I don't know if it' ll be easy (or if it's legal) to grow it at home. I hope your dragon fruit grows well!

I can't wait to see updates on this plant! I found out that they taste like a cross between a kiwi and a pear! Sounds delicious!
Also, Khang, how do you control the humidity for your tropical plants? We live in a very dry climate. Would a good old fashion humidifier work?
I saw one fellow at a hydroponics store down in San Antonio who covered the front of his grow tent with clear plastic and dropped a couple CO2 tablets inside every few days... -
hey why does my bell Peper leafs keep falling off?

I subscribed to your channel! Is it necessary to dry every seed of any plant I wish to grow or not? Thanks!

you can get Mylar at any sporting goods store to use as a reflective surface. just look for survival blanket packets. The only drawback is they don't insulate well. Hope that helps!

I once sprouted some seeds by simply putting the seeds with a little bit of water in a zip lock bag and blowing some air in before sealing it. Had almost 100% sprout.

I didn't know you were in Texas.

Very neat! What is the silver material in your grow room?

Just one quick tip. Do not use cactus mix. Yes, dragonfruit is a cactus, but its a tropical cactus, so it needs nutrients and it loves water at some degree.
But yes, they are really fun to grow from seed, but they tend to be slow growers at start, so after some months they will start to grow quite fast! Atleast mine did so :) -
Excellent.

How big do these plants get? Can they be grown indoors?
-
How long does it take from seedling to producing fruit? Thanks

I live in Ontario Canada right now we're getting snow and it's been pretty cold surprisingly I just tossed a bunch of the dragon fruit seeds in a cup with soil and put plastic wrap overtop of it and within four days I had sprouts I'm excited to see how they do so far so good.
