How would you grow salak (snake fruit)? Thanks

Dragon fruit grows slowly and gradually in the first year, even for cuttings. mine took 3 weeks for 4 out of 6 of my cuttings to grow new shoots on their sides. The last two cuttings took nearly an extra month! I knew they were healthy thick cuttings and I gave them patience. I can't wait until their second year, they're supposed to grow a lot more rapidly before flowering and fruiting. And have to bee maintained otherwise the tree will be an overgrown mess. I'm so excited for these! It's my first time trying to grow them. I've ordered a lot of seeds so hopefully I can grow them too.
