The ones on the bottom are the best hydrated .... Plant them first

I've been gathering acorns just to plant them into trees and make more acorns. now if the acorn is green, does it mean it will be much healthier?

It would be nice if you would show what you're talking about

It would've been nice to specify, at the beginning of the video, what type of acorns they were showing. There's approximately 400 types of oaks. Not all of them are growing this way.

Possibly I've heard of people fileing and cracking lotus seeds to speed up germination. Assuming the nut has not been damaged.

I found an acorn in my pocket that must've been there for 7+ months lmao the outer shell cracked off and left me with a shriveled nut. can this still be grown?

If i collected the the acorns (red oak) this october, did the sink or float test, kept the good ones and stored them in refrigerator for stratification, can i plant them this december? And will they germinate in the refrigerator or only once i remove them and place them in soil at room temperature?

You can make pots out of newspaper.

I went in the woods today and could not even find any acorns. Of course, my dad had the timber people whack about every oak tree we have down. You know, the almight dollar comes before anything. There is one oak tree down there but no acorns.

I regret following the advice of this video! I removed my seedlings recently and most of the roots were so intertwined that many of them died from the stress of digging them out of the 'group pot.' Instead, I highly recommend making biodegradable pots out of newspaper so that it's one seedling per pot. The survival rate is much higher, the material is cheap and you don't have to untangle the roots from a 'group pot.' However, IF you do use a group pot, soak them in water to untangle the roots.

Thanks for the info! We need a lot more people to start planting some darn trees man. And you're doing more than your part. Thanks on behalf of earth.
