This video is a quick snapshot of my wine grape vine cuttings, being brought inside because it decided to snow in April. Also - I have a couple of questions for Vitner professionals to confirm if I am doing cutting propagation correctly. My question is around my process of preparing the vine cuttings. What I describe in my video is my research and learnings of the best way to start and encourage root growth. Specifically - around whether to leave the nodes or buds or cut them off - for those that are in the soil or in water, based on ones particular process. For all my 68 grape vine cuttings I cut off the nodes / buds that would live within soil / water. I have read that some vitners do this and some do not. In your opinion - what is the best method? Feel free to share your experience and feedback in the comments below. I have been tending and maintaining - well established grape vines on my property for 2 years - this is my 3rd season. Thank you very much in advance! -- Meagan Aspiring Vitner Vermont, USA
