Potato is a winter crop and generally require low temperature for germination. The crop grows better in slightly acidic pH 5 - 6.5 for better growth of tuber. Germinated tuber are used for planting with row to row spacing 18 inch or 1.5 ft and plant to plant spacing 8 inch or 15-20 cm. Required N:P:K dose is applied in the furrows.
