1. Are mister! Make the shaft longer and you'll have a bigger arc and shear a larger sector per sweep (elementary!) if you prolong both sides, it will be balanced and the added weight will be marginal.

12. i like that idea of harvesting rice, it's lots faster than manual labor specially for those countries who utilize conventional method, way to go i'll share this in my old beautifull country, the philippines. thanks for sharing people of India.
