vue - Kenya, AfDB sign $ 40 M loan to boost small holder agriculture

The Africa Development Bank has signed a 40 million dollar loan with the Kenyan government to develop small scale irrigation and value addition. The project aims at improving access to food through improved production of high value crops in Kenya's arid and semi arid lands. Average rural household incomes are envisaged to rise through the project besides boosting nutrition for hundreds of thousands of children.
