vue - Kenya's highlands farmers embracing fish farming as an alternative source of income
www.abndigital.com Farmers in Kenya's highlands are now embracing fish farming as an alternative source of income, thanks to the Government's Economic Stimulus Plan. The funds have been channelled towards start-up of modern fish farms and purchase of fingerlings, which have in turn propped the country's fish production capacity. ABN's Beatrice Gachenge tells us more.

Fish farmers can produce fish food for free, if they breed black solder fly larvae, which feeds on degrading fruit.
When the larvae matures it seeks high and dry areas which makes it easy for the farmer to direct the larvae to tubes which leads to gathering boxes and then feed them to the fish. cat fish loves this larvae.
videos are available on youtube.com for good ideas of using black solder fly larvae as fish and chicken food. -
fish farming is more productive business

If they were running that water through some plants to filter it, they could see even larger profits! Best of luck!
