Dear friends and colleagues, Help! I would like to go back to Ethiopia this summer to continue work on a photo feature about the honey tribes and thus finish a documentary work started in 2011. This story is unique: it recounts the strong bond between the rites of passage of young adults and beekeeping, the hive and honey. This subject has never been treated before and I would like, as well, to bear witness to the transformations in the life of the Bana people who, in the course of a few years, have gone from being a semi-nomadic culture to a settled farming community. In effect, the Omo Valley has been rapidly changing with the construction of roads and foreign investments in intensive farming. So, this photographic testimony will also be the memory of a people. En effet, ces peuples de pasteurs nomades, déjà devenus en partie agriculteurs, voient aujourd'hui leurs terres louées par le gouvernement à des investisseurs étrangers pour y développer une agriculture intensive. Les routes sont construites et le mode de vie du berceau de l'humanité risque de disparaître. Le but de ce projet sur KissKissbankbank est de poursuivre mon travail documentaire et d'approfondir le lien ancestral de ces peuples aux abeilles et à l'apiculture.
