Russian agriculture minister Nikolai Fyodorov will give a statement to the press ahead of meeting his German counterpart Christian Schmidt at the International Green Week expo on Friday 16. During their meeting Schmidt is expected to ask Fyodorov to ease the embargo on agricultural products from the European Union (EU). Russia banned a wide-range of food imports from the EU as well as the United States in August 2014. Among the products targeted include fruit, vegetables, meat and poultry.
