Most of your description links don't even work
-
Why don't you stop putting out garbage live streams no one cares about all the time and go back to making real content
-
If u want to know how to have a successful 1 on 1 relationship with God & know all about the spiritual realm because God is a spirit John 4:24,check out Tireo YouTube Channel.
-
I have to say I'm surprised by how upset people are getting about our opinion about this course. Love the passion though.
-
you should add sponsored links for courses in your description for your retarded viewers
-
Yo guys I love the casual livestream
Keep doing it. You guys catching up and talking is great.
Fudge the haters -
Guys, I appreciate you've got to make a living and all but taking what comes across as a private conversation between bros then posting it on you tube doesn't do either of you any favours. Yes, by all means make the point but possibly (if you want to be taken seriously at all) get a comment/response from Codecademy as well.
If you're going to smack someone around the head you should probably put the link/thing you're referring to in the notes below the video so viewers also get the opportunity to come to their own conclusions.
This is a negative and really lazy way to create content. -
I don't want to watch 90 minutes. Too boring. How about a neat little TL;DW summary?
-
I love node for prototyping, unfortunately it is very slow.
-
Matts friend said that freecodecamp is the best right now? How do the rest of you feel about that?
-
It will be nice to a have a link to this "corrupted" course, you know, just to check it for yourself.

How to tell if someone's self-taught and has likely been declined an interview from the Big 4 in the past:
- "Nobody gives a fuck about working for Google, it's like whatever, tons of other places to work." -
Hopefully you'll see this comment before a ton show up.
First - big fan of some of your videos. Not a daily watcher, but I've enjoyed your stuff in the past.
I'm an advisor over at Codecademy and I'll admit the site isn't perfect - I even prefer to use other sites like FreeCodeCamp myself. I wish the devs would fix stuff that needs fixing, and our lessons aren't as good as a lot of other lessons. Very, very hand-holdy. That being said, some of the things said in this video just aren't true:
1. They've released several new courses (in Q4 of 2016): new JS, new HTML & CSS, and I believe new Ruby and Python courses (not 100% sure as I'm not an advisor in those languages).
2. You absolutely get help building projects and working through lessons. I'm an advisor, I help our Pro members every day with them. I don't know what program you were talking about that's $500, but I know they just released a ~$250 "Ready" program that offers a 1-on-1 mentor and new content. And the Ready program definitely includes JS. But if you're talking about another program I haven't heard of, I'd be interested in learning about it.
3. Codecademy isn't all JS-based. We offer Java, Ruby, Python, to name a few.
So... kinda disappointing to hear this, perhaps it's poor marketing on Codecademy's behalf, or maybe you guys should have looked into it a bit more before bashing it. Is it shitty for handholding? Yeah - 100%. But the stuff above is just blatantly not true. -
You guys come across as snobs bashing, bragging, and cussing like highschool kids. It's just useless and a waste.
-
do you need a mouse to google?
-
They do teach js, jquery and php for free though. Anyway front end is easy. Anyone can do it with enough time to spend working on it. As long as you're not dumb as fuck you can google your way through it. I feel like codecademy is targeting boomers who don't wanna fall behind on "tech trends". You're better off learning to use photoshop properly
-
code academy is a rip off mannnn
-
The thing is, people don't know how to google. A lot of people are not that smart.

11:50 earned my respect
