The correctly applied linseed oil paint layer is up to 6 times thinner than the layer of alkyd or latex paint, therefore; linseed oil paint’s consumption is smaller; 2. Linseed oil paint layer doesn’t shrink when drying since there is no evaporation of solvents; in the process of linseed oil drying linseed oil oxidises with air oxygen, adding of oxygen; 3. Because of their small dimensions linseed oil molecules absorb into wood surface deeper, even to 2 mm, at the same time wood can breathe freely; 4. Linseed oil paint coatings don’t crack or shed as it happens with synthetic paints; 5. Pigments used for linseed oil paints, like iron oxides and zinc white, ensure wood protection against rot and fungal diseases; Paint deeply absorbs into the wood, it is wear resistant, creates long lasting atmosphere and UV radiation resistant painting that protects the wood from moisture and damages, simultaneously it is air and water vapour permeable –painted wood breathes.
