In this film a woman discusses and demonstrates the features of her up-to-date kitchen. From the record series NRS 18657 Films [Division of Information and Extension Services, Department of Agriculture] (SR Film 416 + 417). These films were produced for, or obtained by, the Department's Division of Information and Extension Services and cover a wide range of topics of interest to primary producers. Subjects covered include pasture production, livestock management and animal nutrition, control of diseases in plants and animals, milking techniques, milk production and processing, farm equipment and general farm management. Here they have granite kitchens with every gadget we can think of and where do people it? out all that poison they want to eat from chain restaurants. so sad.

We sometimes take what we have now for granted. Compared to today's standards, this kitchen leaves much to be desired. But if I had to, I could adjust to using this one. Some people in the world don't even have this much.

It is quite a handy kitchen; very well organized. I particularly like the pot cupboard arrangement; very sensible and neat. The bread bin is pretty coo and sit down cutting board is a good idea as well. Clearly, she designed the kitchen to function for her needs; a man would have been rather clueless in those days. What I noticed was there were not a lot of superfluous kitchen gadgets or dishes, etc. Very few items. I have a toaster like that one, it made good toast although it would only toast one side and you have to flip it. Must say, I liked her old kitchen as well.

The gal setting the table did a huge "NO! NO!" when she put the tray on the chair seat & then put it on the tablecloth that she had just laid down. Think of all the germs on chair seats & then having any part of them transferred to the tablecloth! YUCK!

I so enjoyed this. I was just telling a girlhood friend of a 1950's kitchen that I had before moving to this new area. It was much like the kitchen shown here, only I had built-in oven, a dishwasher, & a cook-top with four burners. My medal cabinets were pink (yes, "pink"). It was a lovely kitchen & although I like my new kitchen here, I miss the old!

How cute, I've never seen a two burner stove and an airplane sink in any kitchen! Light bulbs sticking out of under the cabinets? The green cabinets are hideous too!

7 o'clock..early Morning on a Farm??? Well...I Must have been raised on a Farm on another Planet 😂😂 Up at 4 latest 4:30 , coffee at 5:00, milking Starts 5:30, then feeding THEN breakfast ..No mummy rubbing eyes in the kitchen in her Rope at 7:00 !at that Time MY Mother was in her overall stuffing porridge down her throat half sitting, half running thinking about cleaning stables and preparing lunch (at the Same Time if she could have 😁)...But aus I Said different planet I suppose...Or Maybe we just Had the wrong kitchen??😂😂
