1. Hello sir you talked about chemical farming and organic farming.. I agree organic farming is more costly.. But what about zero budget farming.. Its low cost natural farming with intercrop.. I have done lot of research about many techniques... I think natural farming with multicropping is the only way if we can save farmers from suicide...
2. sir, the green revolution aimed at feeding the whole nation because that was the situation then.. but now the reality is the numerous farmer suicides because they cant afford the expenses of the left over farming practices of green revolution...what do you have to say about the farmer suicides issue ignoring the 'food security issue'.

   To my low knowledge, zero budget natural farming is all about balancing the micro nutrients (as you mentioned) with the help of micro organisms in literally of no cost..Please reply how it is not economically viable and not capable to meet the future demands..

6. Dr. Sreekumar's speech is highly biased. Instead of giving a balanced (pros and cons) view of energy intensive modern agriculture; he tried to paint a picture that it is safe- and perfect, and we should continue to do the same, otherwise we all are going to be doomed. There are several scientific reports including recent ones that demonstrates the unhealthy and unsustainable nature of fertilizers and agrochemicals. Early this year, World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer announced that glyphosphate, an active ingredient of many weedicides, is carcinogenic to human. Rather than convincing general public who are fed-up and suffering from the ill effects and misuse of modern agriculture, scientists like Dr. Sreekumar, should be working to come up with alternative varieties and agricultural practices that reduce the dependency on petrochemicals.

    ജൈവകൃഷി ഒരു മതം പോലെ പടരുന്നത് ആശങ്കാജനകമാണു. വെറും ജൈവ വളം മാത്രം ഉപയോഗിച്ചു കൃഷി ലാഭകരമാവില്ല. വീട്ടിൽ പശു ഇല്ലാത്തവർക്ക് അടുക്കളത്തോട്ടം പോലും ചിലവുള്ള ഏർപ്പാടാണു. ഒരു ചെറിയ കൊട്ട ചാണകത്തിനു 30 രൂപയാണു വില. 40 ഗ്രോബാഗ് നിറക്കാൻ 500 രൂപയുടെ ചാണകം വാങ്ങിച്ചു. 5 മില്ലി ചേർക്കാൻ പറയുമ്പോൾ 50 മില്ലി ചേർത്ത് കീടനാശിനി അടിക്കുന്നവനും,ജൈവ വളങ്ങൾ ഒന്നും ചേർക്കാതെ കടക്കാരൻ പറയുന്ന രാസവളം മാത്രം കണക്കൊന്നുമില്ലാതെ വാരി വിതറി കൃഷി ചെയുന്നവരുമൊക്കെ യായിരിക്കും രാസവളങ്ങളെ ചീത്തപേരു കേൾപ്പിച്ചത്. മണ്ണിന്റെ അവസ്ഥക്കനുസരിച്ച്. ജൈവ, രാസ വളങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള രീതിയാണു പോൽസാഹിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടത്. വല്ലാതെ ജൈവത്തിലേക്ക് പോയാൽ പട്ടിണി കിടക്കേണ്ടി വരും.
