At 1:39 on the lower left foreground depicts the prickly pear cactus (optunia ficus indica.) In Mexico, it is grown in thousands of acres beause of it many uses. Both man & animal can it it. It gives a sweet fruit. When in bloom, it attracts honey bees. The seed bears an expensive oil for medicine and cometics. The root is used for shampoo. This should be put to cultivation in Madagascar.
