Jon hello, greetings from Paysandu-Uruguay, I admire your work and keep all your publications

I like to avoid hose/tap water when it comes to watering... less chlorine and other chemicals.
FoxFarm and PROmix are good soil options as well... MiracleGRO is full of harmful chemicals.
A worm farm could be a cool new project for your "organic" farming. You'd be amazed at the quality of the soil with the worm castings and the "worm juice" you can make for the watering will be like a natural steroid for your entire garden.
If you have to use hose/tap water, let it sit for a couple days in a 5 gallon bucket or other storage container to allow the chlorine and whatnot to evaporate before application.
All in all though, I really enjoy tuning in to your channel and seeing all the cool stuff you are up to! Keep up the great work! -
Is this video from a while back or fairly recent? You can get some decent growing in before it gets to cold?
-
Really Jon, is there anything you don't do well? Terrific job, keep the video's coming. Thanks for all the hard work!
-
Thanks Jon for all the work you put in the videos! How well do the boxes seem to be holding up with the wood sides and screen bottoms? Does the screen carry the weight ok?
-
Great video. how long is the soil good for in these planter box's or can you just keep same soil every yr and just add fertilizer to it
-
Never thought of a fall garden.
-
Nice video Jon. You got me energized. Spring just starting down here in Australia so definitely time to get back into the garden. Did you play and record your own music backing track to the video?

i like that planter box!! great idea!! ~!~

I know nothing about vegetable gardens but would be interested so I could tell my wife and we may start above ground gardening. When you say winter garden, may I ask when you expect its final harvest?
-
Top work. A lot of people don't realise that many food plants can be grown year round. Nice.
-
As always well organized. Congratulations, but I want to see after grow ... ok ?.
-
Awesome, looks like I'll be picking up some seeds :D Thanks Jon!!
-
could you get dirty on occasion? Maybe sweat here and there?
-
Jon; Great job. Can you comment on the composition of your raised bed soil mix? Pearlite, Vermiculite?

I was telling my son last week about when I was young you saw a seed catalog at almost every house. I don't see them much anymore.

sweet..thx

How often do you turn your soil, and is there an easy way to test it and find out what nutrients you need to me returning to the soil? I am not much of a green thumb, but I can usually get some tomatoes out of my garden, but this year they were... not great. Thanks for the video.
