vue - Raising Earthworms Indoors
Step by step instructions for raising earthworms indoors. Not in the video but needed. Cut some holes in the covers. I hot glued some window screening over the holes to keep the bugs out. Helps with the air flow.

Thanks for the good info.
Now I know what to do in the winter months. -

Do you ventilate your earthworm tubs? I've got axolotls and they eat loads of worms and it's getting very expensive so I want to start breeding them. How long does it take? I really like this idea- I'm probably going to order 500 mixed worms sized 1-4 cm to start off. Thanks

Thank you. This video is very helpful. :)

why do you need 2 containers?

I've always wanted to start something like this in my house, but the only concern is I don't want to have it attract bugs and end up with a lot of small flies or bugs in my basement. So before I start on this project, can you tell me if you have any problem with those small black insect flying around? Thanks!

Ummmm don't these little guys need soil or dirt, I also heard they need sand and if they are going to be indoors, you need to add holes in the lids and if you don't want fruit flies and/or other insects, you just put a layer of the paper over top of them [full newspapers or shredded] What do you think of this? Please and thank you.

with no holes drilled in that cover lid - the worms will die from Suffocation .. how'd that work-out for ya ' Bud !!!!

Wonderful to the point presentation!
1. A whole lot less dirt and mess because I currently "buy" my worms and put them in a jar of water for a couple hours to clear out their system of dirt I don't want my prized tropical fish exposed to and this way it's all nutrition.
2. I can't think of better use of the bills I get in the mail!
Question: How fast is reproduction would you guess? Out of a starter of 100 red worms, how many off spring should be expected monthly for instance?
